- By car Lauder lies on the A68, the principal road through the Borders. From Edinburgh it’s a drive of around 45 minutes to an hour, heading south. From England, the A68 carries you north over the dramatic Carter Bar border crossing and up through Jedburgh and St Boswells to Lauder. Car parking at the event is £5.
- By train The nearest station is Stow, on the Borders Railway from Edinburgh Waverley, a scenic run of about 45 minutes, with services roughly hourly (more frequent at peak times). Stow is approximately 8 miles from Lauder, with onward connections by taxi. Please note: there is no taxi rank at Stow station, so taxis need to be pre-booked.
